We simply set out to create a comfortable urban place to meet, hang out and grab some delicious food and great drinks at affordable prices. We wanted a place where people could come for food, for drink or for both.

We envisioned a place that had several places within it. Places inside. Places outside. Places to eat. Places to drink. Places to eat after you’ve been drinking and drink after you’ve been eating. Places for more intimate and casual dining and places for group gatherings, socialization and watching TV over some food and drink and good conversation.

Our vision and this location found each other in June 2010 and we never looked back. We look forward to serving the downtown Phoenix community and those who love to visit the downtown Phoenix area.

Who are we? Well Bliss/ ReBAR is co-owned by Mark Howard, Jackson Kelly and Kevin Kelly. Mark co-owns FEZ Restaurant & Bar and after 12 years recently stepped away as founder and senior partner at Lucky Dog Creative, a Valley marketing and advertising agency, to focus on the restaurants & new ventures. Jackson brings a long-standing career in the music and hospitality industry and serves also as the General Manager of Bliss ReBAR. Kevin, a longtime Phoenix resident, has been in customer service industry for over two decades including several years at US Airways.

As three AZ natives and longstanding Phoenix residents, we all believe in Phoenix, especially the downtown and central corridor, and wanted to be an active participant in its ongoing and critical revitalization.

Of course a vision is nothing without some mouthwatering cuisine. Executive Chef Mario Pineda is a natural chef, growing up on a farm in Patagonia, Arizona where he developed the love for farm fresh fruits and vegetables. Mario was introduced to the culinary arts by his chef mother who raised him in the traditions of the Latino cuisine and passion of the craft. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale, Arizona and went on to work as a Sous Chef at multiple fine dinning establishments throughout Washington D.C. – to include Farmers and Fishers, Urbana at the Kimpton Hotel and Founding Farmers. Starting as the Sous Chef at Bliss, Mario will continue as Executive Chef to bring a unique style of creativity developed through years of culinary dedication and passion for his craft.
